Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She also was a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark hairstyle and her pumped up personality, explains the basics of cooking that anyone can master. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of the top restaurants in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy as well as competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step after she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in English and Communication in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable opportunity for me. I couldn't learn enough couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. The time she spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian tradition and philosophy, which has had an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of kids who struggle. Additionally, she is an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate where she promotes awareness of juvenile diabetics. As an inspirational speaker, she travels across the nation to share her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field.
