When she was just 15, Andressa Urach began a love affair with Tiago Costa. After a period of three months of dating, the couple moved into his home. The couple was blessed with an unmarried child, Arthur Urach Costa born on May 19 2005 After marital differences the couple separated in 2008 after 6 years of marriage. Andressa Urach moved into her mother's house in order to stay with her sole child. After 6 months of separation she quit her job and decided to move her son with his father to try for an opportunity to live a more fulfilling life within Sao Paulo however, being extremely ambitious and vain, her primary goal in leaving the South was to become a rich and famous. In her memoir Morri Para Viver Andressa Urach says she was a victim of sexual assault throughout her childhood a victim of the abuse her foster grandfather suffered that occurred from when she was 2 until 8. Andressa Urach could only get rid of all this because her foster grandma was able to catch her in the act. Andressa then returned home to her mom, and she was not aware that she had suffered abuse until Andressa wrote her book. Based on interviews she conducted with her, the famous woman has achieved something that seemed impossible to her spiritual conversion. That is, she's forgiven the person who abused her. One of the hardest decision I've made in my life was to call the man who had sexually abused. This wasn't a simple thing to take on. I pleaded with the person on the other end, after much praying and fasting, that I had forgiven the man. And even though I'm not guilty of anything I pleaded for forgiveness. This was a straightforward plea. It was not a reason to defend my action. Mariste Urach describes her reaction during an interview exclusively with Globo after she learned that sexual harassment had been perpetrated against her daughter. Urach went to the city of Rio Grande do Sul where the perpetrator lived in order to take the revenge.
